Camp Out to End Family Homelessness

2020 Date to Be Announced Soon!

Family Promise of Whatcom County hosts the Annual Camp Out to End Family Homelessness at Cornwall Church (4518 Northwest Drive, Bellingham). Join the team from Family Promise, as we try to pack 200 parking spots with car or tent-camping adventurers who want to raise funds and awareness about child and family homelessness in Whatcom County.

This will be a FUNdraiser, an upbeat event open to everyone—individuals, families, youth groups, and more. A registration fee of $25 per camping unit, be it car or tent, includes a camp unit leader T-shirt, additional shirts $10 each; a dinner of burgers, hot dogs, and chili on Friday; and a pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturday.

Friday family-friendly festivities include:

  • Games, skits and a s’mores bar
  • FUNdraising prizes awarded to individuals and camp teams

Don’t forget to bring a chair and a blanket for dining and singing around the ‘campfire’. Once the festivities end, event participants can spend the night sleeping in their vehicles or tents.

Participate in one of two ways: 1) Commit to spending the night in your car/tent to raise awareness and money to help end family homelessness in Whatcom County. 2) Participate in the event (including FUNdraising), and then go home when we turn in for the night. We understand that not everyone is able to camp overnight. No worries!

You can make a difference in the lives of Whatcom County children and their families experiencing homelessness. Participation is as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Register for the campout: To come
  2. Purchase a ticket: To come
  3. Engage in FUNdraising: Individuals or teams are encouraged to raise funds. See the CrowdFunding link to MightyCause.

Ask your family and friends to sponsor your camping out to end family homelessness!

We encourage Driver’s and their team of passengers to raise $100 per individual or $500 per team; however, we’d get really revved up if your camp team brings in more than that! Prizes will be given for the teams that raise the most money.

Can’t join the camp out? No worries! Crowdfunding is for everyone and does not require attending the camp out or registering for the event; anyone and everyone can support Camp Out to End Family Homelessness. All proceeds support Family Promise of Whatcom Community, a program of Interfaith Coalition.

Let’s make this our biggest fundraiser of the year—supporting Family Promise of Whatcom County, a program of the Interfaith Coalition!
